Underground Utility Surveys & Ground Penetrating Radar & Topographical Surveys

Amethyst Surveys were instructed to undertake an underground utility survey, including a comprehensive Utility Search report for a baked goods company located in the Carlton area of Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

The Survey: The purpose of the survey was to aid in the feasibility study for the redevelopment of the on-site bakery. Having an accurate understanding of the underground infrastructure was essential for our client as they needed to plan how they could tie into any existing services and safely undertake any necessary excavation/exploratory works.

Our experienced Underground Utility Survey team used a variety of techniques & equipment, including Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electro Magnetic Locators (EML) to seek, identify, locate & verify the positions of the underground infrastructure. This included the various below-ground trade effluent systems & networks in relation to the large effluent storage tanks on site.

All our findings were picked up digitally using a combination of GNSS and total station measurements which ensured efficient & accurate data acquisition for a seamless transition to the office for processing.

The Results: The results were collated onto an existing topographical survey and issued to the client as a 2D CAD drawing, accompanied by the Utility Search Report (Desktop Search) in PDF format.

Should you be looking for an underground utility survey to support your project, Amethyst surveys would be pleased to assist.
